With high tech into the middle ages

Exciting exhibition experience thanks to modern technology.

Special exhibition, 28 August to 24 October 2021

A collaborative project between curator Noemi Bearth, the Design for Duck Technology team and Rimon

Have you always wanted to immerse yourself in the medieval world with an app and experience museum objects in a new way using the latest technology? That’s exactly what this exhibition aims to make possible.

The project combines historical content with technical possibilities. An animated knight guides visitors through the historical rooms in an interactive exhibition app. The history of the knight’s house and certain exhibits in the museum is conveyed in a new way via augmented reality, video and audio files. In this way, visitors do not only experience the Ritterhaus in a completely new way, but they also receive well-founded background information on individual historical events and objects that were not previously visible in the exhibition. The final piece is a digitally created figure that provides an in-depth insight into technical development processes.
At the opening event (28 August 2021, 10 am to 5 pm), you can watch the exhibition team complete a digitally designed wooden sculpture. Get exclusive insights into the technical work processes and talk to the exhibition team!

The project was financed through a crowdfunding campaign. We would like to thank all our supporters.
