Being human

People in Jacqueline Frei’s pictures

Special exhibition, 6 May to 30 June 2021

What makes us human? What is part of being human?

The exhibition uses portraits and figurative representations from Jacqueline Frei’s atelier to focus on these questions.

We are in a time in which people are actively fighting for equal rights on the streets all over the world and in a pandemic like our generations have not experienced yet. The different political movements and also the pandemic catastrophe point to the absolute necessity to reflect and discuss about human beings, their character traits and their possibilities.

This is exactly what Jacqueline Frei does in her paintings. In her art, the artist speaks out for solidarity and mutual acceptance. Her artworks draw attention to the multifaceted nature of our existence and fill the hearts of the viewers with emotion.

The paintings invite us to take in peace and serenity, but also the joy of life. Let yourself be drawn into the spell of these artworks!
