The Society of the Ritterhaus

A key objective of the society of the Ritterhaus (Ritterhausgesellschaft Bubikon = RHG) was and still is to make the Ritterhaus a meeting place. During the museum season (April – October), the society runs its own Bistro and museum shop. Attractive temporary exhibitions, the special designed round trip for children «SEEFAHRT, ZIMT und SCHWALBEN-SCHWANZ» and the fruitful collaboration with the theatre ensemble «Theater im Hof» make sure that a lively exchange with the past and a frequent visit of the house is achieved. The new herb garden behind the servants’ building was fittingly completed to mark the 75^th anniversary (1936 – 2011) of the society. Visitors find leisure and may enjoy the art of gardening and herbs of four different époques.

The society of the Ritterhaus is a non-profit making organization and therefore only successful thanks to engaged members and the public hand. All types of support are important to assure its continuing success in the future and the maintenance and proper use of this particular location and to assure that each visitor leaves a joyful memory.

The deliberate (free of charge) engagement for the RHG annually amounts to some thousand hours. The mental and active support of the RHG by its members assures the attractive and forward looking service to the Ritterhaus and also assures a living and proper activity in and around the Ritterhaus.
