Round tour for children «Seafaring, cinnamon and swallowtail»

For families with children a dedicated round tour was developed and integrated into the permanent exhibition. Children learn by playing on six special stations along the museum tour. Interesting aspects about the middle ages and the Order of St. John are explained, e.g. the traveling in historic times and how the cinnamon came Europe.

With the entrance ticket the children receive a knight’s-pin, which they can decorate and stick on to their clothes. At the end of the round trip the pin becomes a toy figure.

Bag for the round trip of the children

Part of the round trip is a special bag, which the children can take home. The bag contains a nicely illustrated brochure about the round tour, a wooden shield to paint, painting pencils, 6 ship cards and 2 sticks.
